Czech Moldavite Dragonfly Pendant Necklace - Sterling Silver - Handmade -- p151607
A flying beauty!
Genuine Czech Moldavite is set in this handmade sterling silver dragonfly pendant.
The wings are openwork silver with the gemstones set in open back bezels.
The body of the dragonfly has dimensional decorations and a lightly antiqued finish.
Moldavite is a tektite that was formed approximately 15 million years ago when a meteorite struck southern Germany on the Bohemian Plain.
Today Moldavite hunters search the woods and fields after a rainstorm hoping to find this rare gemstone.
The Moldavite miners can't wait for rain: They hand dig holes in the ground, just big enough for themselves and their ladders, and sift through the mud in search of this beautiful and rare tektite.
